Avon has introduced two new vintage style fragrances in brochure #13. They are called 50's Glam and 60's Pop. Both bottles are the same shape and size with different colors and patterns on the front. The 50's Glam fragrance is my personal favorite of the two. It is a romantic blend of florals and fruits and I found it to be a long lasting fragrance.

Avon's 60's Pop fragrance is a bold and colorful blend of plum, violet and sensual white woods. It is also a long lasting fragrance. I've purchased both of these new fragrances and would highly recommend either one of them. I hope Avon will follow up these new fragrances with matching lotions and shower gels. Avon has introduced a new men's Eau de Toilette Spray called Ironman. I think it has a wonderful energizing scent. In the introduction to Ironman, Avon says that anything is possible and Ironman is the essence of mind-body excellence.

Ironman has the scents of lime, vetiver and cedarwood. It comes in an attractive green and black spray bottle containing 2.5 fluid ounces. Matt Miller is the "face" of Avon's new Ironman fragrance. In addition to being an Ironman competitor, he is the founder of the C Different Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping visually impaired athletes. Bug season is here and in my area of the Midwest bugs are supposed to be thick this year due to all the rain. We're going to need a lot of Avon's Skin So Soft Bug Guard.

I was reading a print out called Bug guard 101 which indicated which Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard product to use for your activities. You can get this information from any Avon Representative but I will give you a summary.

The product called SSS Bug Guard Expedition is SPF 30 and comes in an aerosol as well as a pump spray. Use this when you are taking part in outdoor activities such as camping and hiking for an extended period of time.

The Family Bug Guard lotions are also SPF 30 and are good for any daytime activity such as park events, sporting events, etc.

SSS Bug Guard Picaridin comes in an aerosol or a pump spray. Use this one for outdoor evening activities between dusk and dawn. This product does not contain SPF protection. Use this one for barbeques, picnics, sporting events, etc.

Today I received my first tube of Avon's new Pro To Go Lipstick. I think I love it! You may have already seen Reese Witherspoon in television advertisements for this breakthrough Avon Beauty Product. In the commercial she is dashing about on a busy day and applies her Avon Pro To Go Lipstick single-handedly. It's great! She is wearing a color called Cherry Glisten which looks sensational on her.

The Pro To Go Lipstick only requires one hand to open and apply. To use the lipstick, slide it up, put it on and snap it shut! It's really neat and works smoothly. The lipstick itself is good and has a creamy feel. I love the color I chose for my first tube......Provocative Plum. I plan to purchase several more tubes in various luxurious colors.

Avon's Flip-Flops

Avon has introduced a number of really cute flip-flops this Spring. I don't wear flip-flops myself due to my need to wear orthodic inserts in my shoes but I'm going to review some of my most popular and biggest selling Avon flip-flops for you.

First on my list is the Rhinestone Butterfly flip-flop which comes in pink and features a silvertone butterfly which is encrusted with rhinestones. This butterfly sits on the top strap. This one has a 1/2 inch heel and is all man made materials.

The Chain Link flip-flop is another pretty one and features a goldtone and ribbon chain. This one is available in either black or red and has a skid resistant rubber sole.

Another rhinestone flip-flop features either Tinkerbell, in pink, or Winnie the Pooh, in aqua, printed on the foot bed. These flip-flops have a 1 and 1/4 inch wedge.

The new Sporty flip-flop is made of suede and nylon mesh and is available in either green or navy. There is a terry sling bag available to match either of these, as it is green with navy trim.

Another new Avon flip-flop is the "Flowers in Bloom" which is actually a toe looped sandal. This one has a silver tone flower on top of the crisscross straps. The flower features a rhinestone center with colored petals available in either lavender, pink or green. There are matching products in the "Flowers in Bloom" line including rings.

Avon's Flower and Petal

Avon has introduced two new fragrances just in time for Mother's Day in May. They are the designer fragrances, Flower and Petal, by Cynthia Rowley.

I purchased a bottle of Avon's new Flower fragrance which comes in a beautiful white milk glass type bottle with a black ribbon around the neck. The fragrance smells like a garden. In fact, today a young man across the counter from me said, "you smell like my roses when I walk past the garden". I really like this fragrance and would recommend it to anyone who likes floral scents.

Petal by Cynthia Rowley is a fragrance for our young daughters or anyone who is young at heart. It has the scent of Lily of the Valley. It's a light, clean floral and really smells like the famous little flowers. This fragrance comes in a clear pink bottle, shaped like the white one.

If there is a mother and daughter on your gift giving list for Mother's Day this year, these Avon designer fragrances would be excellent products to give. I have to say that Flower by Cynthia Rowley is an excellent fragrance to receive too!

Avon's Hobo Handbags

I have enjoyed using a number of Avon's hobo style handbags in the past year. One of my favorites is their recent hobo introduction, the Bronze Metallic Hobo. It is a nice golden tan colored fabric with bronze metallic colored trim. This hobo has ample room to carry all of your necessities and more. It has two snap pockets on the front and a zipper pocket on the back.

The Avon Bronze Metallic Hobo is very comfortable to carry because the shoulder strap is padded. I especially appreciate that feature because I tend to carry everything but the kitchen sink in my purse. This handbag is fully lined and includes three inside pockets, one of which is zippered.

New Spring Avon Products

Welcome to my Avon review blog. Soon I'll be reviewing some of the new Spring Avon products that are beginning to appear in the latest Avon brochures. I've ordered a number of products including a new eyeliner pencil, a beautiful cross necklace, the Mark Pure fragrance and much much more.

After I've given these items a fair trial period, I'll be writing reviews on many of them and let you know what some of my favorites are.

Avon's True Glow Fragrance

Avon's new True Glow fragrance is a bit different and I think I like it! It has a citrus and apple scent when you first apply it. Unlike many other fragrances, it's not the least bit flowery. This fragrance also has a touch of amber and soft musk.

True Glow comes in a beautiful package. The bottle is a soft curved shape and it literally does glow with a golden color. This citrus fragance is a generous 1.7 fl. oz. and can be found on my Avon Website in the Campaign #5 brochure.

In following campaigns, the True Glow fragrance will become available in a purse size spray, shower gel, body lotion and bath powder. You'll be glowing all over.

Avon Mascaras

Avon offers their customers a good variety of mascara products. The newest offering is called Supershock Mascara which has a brush that is two times bigger than another leading mascara brush giving you the biggest lashes ever.

My personal favorite Avon mascara is called Daring Definition Mousse Mascara. I'm currently using it in brown but have ordered it in black as well. This mascara makes your lashes dark but is also very light weight. It stays on well but is also easily removed with soap and water.

Another of Avon's mascaras that I have used and like is called Daring Curves Waterproof Mascara. It adds a bit of curl to your lashes as you apply the product. You will need to use eye make up remover for this product. These days I'm using Daring Curves in Navy for a change of pace. Daring Curves is also available in a non waterproof version if that's what you prefer.

One of Avon's mascaras called Longest Lashes Ever comes in the usual colors and is also available in plum. I am planning to give this color a try soon just to be a little different. This mascara is a two step product which adds visible length to your lashes.

Other Avon mascaras are Wash-Off Waterproof Mascara which can be removed with soap and water and Superfull Mascara which gives you lots of volume without clumps.

Most of these mascaras are on sale right now at 2 for $7.99 from my Avon Representative website. The new Supershock mascara is being introduced at the price of $4.99. I know you will like a number of these mascaras so try a few of them while the price is right.

Avon Naturals Bath and Body

Avon has a great line of Bath and Body products called "Naturals". Avon's Naturals comes in a number of fragrances including Peach, which is the Naturals' top seller, Vanilla, Lavender and Chamomile, Cucumber and Melon and others. The Peach Naturals body lotion is also one of Avon's top 10 products.

Each Naturals product is available in a shower gel, body lotion, and body spray. The body lotions are especially nice because they are lightly scented but also soothe and condition the skin without being the least bit greasy. They are good to use on your legs, arms and torso as a light moisturizer. My personal favorite is the Vanilla fragrance. To enhance the fragrance use the matching shower gel first, then top off the lotion of your choice with the matching body spray.

Avon introduces new Natural fragrances regularly for a limited period of time. A new fragrance about to hit the market will be Naturals' Strawberry Guava. I will have to buy the complete line of this one because I was fortunate enough to sample it recently and it smells delicious! Watch for this one in Avon's Campaign Five.

Avon Knows How to Make Chocolate!

Avon has a new "Mark" product called Chocolate Orchid. Actually, there are several products in this fragrance and it is scrumptious! I'm a huge fan of chocolate of the edible kind so this product appealed to me immediately.

First I have to tell you about the Chocolate Orchid body butter. This stuff comes in a large, flat 6.7 oz. jar and it looks just like chocolate mousse. It smells like something you might want to eat as well. It smells just like chocolate and I love it. Don't let your really young children get a hold of this!

The Chocolate Orchid fragrance is also available in a product called moisture milk which is a light lotion that will moisturize your skin with this yummy fragrance. There is also a dry oil mist in Avon's delicious new scent which also moisturizes your skin. I haven't personally tried the moisture milk or the dry oil mist but I'm sure they will be on my list of products to try soon.

I like the Chocolate Orchid scent mist spray which goes on like a cologne spray but it also moisturizes and contains vitamins A, B and C. This Avon "Mark" product line continues with a 6.7 oz. show wash and a customizable candle. When you order the candle you receive a glass jar, 2 wicks and 2 bags of wax beads. One bag is bright pink and the other is the color of "chocolate".

If you've never tried Avon's line of "Mark" products, this would be a wonderful time to give one a try. The Chocolate Orchid fragrance is a huge hit with me.

Skin So Soft Body Lotion

My husband and I have started using Avon's Skin So Soft Replenishing Body Lotion this winter. It really softens and moisturizes your skin leaving it smooth to the touch.

My husband has extremely dry skin and has to use a lotion every day. He has tried a lot of different products but recently chose this product as his favorite. He likes the original scent best while I like the Soft & Sensual scent best. The body lotion is also available in a scent called Renew & Refresh which is also an age-defying product.

There are other products that match these Avon body lotions. Some of them are the Skin So Soft Body Bar, the Skin So Soft Relaxing Foam Bath, the Skin So Soft Creamy Body Wash, and the Skin So Soft Moisturizing Shower Gel. All are excellent products and well worth trying.

You can also get the famous Skin So Soft Bath Oil in either a large bottle or a small five ounce spray bottle.

Hydra Radiance

I have been using Avon's Solutions Hydra Radiance day lotion for some time now and can't say enough good things about it. In my opinion it compares well to a much higher priced product by Mary Kay that I used for years before this product was available.

Hydra Radiance day lotion is light weight and non greasy. It goes on easily and gives my face a glow, just as it is advertised to do. It has sunscreen which is great for my fair and sensitive skin. It also makes my foundation go on smoothly. I haven't used the Hydra Radiance night cream yet but I plan to try it soon. I hope you'll try one of these great Avon Solutions products too!

Rouge

Avon's newest fragrance for women is called Rouge and has just been introduced by french designer Christian Lacroix. Rouge is being advertised as the color of Passion and comes in a beautiful red bottle.

I ordered my bottle of Rouge and agree with the description Avon gives of it being a burst of citrus and spices. I have always enjoyed spicey fragrances so this one is another hit for me.

Rouge is being offered at a price of $32. When I compare this cost to designer fragrances being offered in department stores, I am pleased with the reasonable price. I don't think you will be disappointed with this one.

Mirror Shine Nail Enamel

I tried the new Avon Mirror Shine Nail Enamel yesterday and I love the way it looks. The color I chose almost makes my nails look as if they are made of chrome.

The polish goes on really well and has a very shiny high gloss finish. I'm very happy and impressed with the results of my application.

The only thing I don't like is that the enamel chips fairly easily so if you purchase this, plan on redoing your nails in just a few days. I often do that anyway just for a change of color.

Imari Seduction

I received my first bottle of Avon's new fragrance, Imari Seduction a few days ago. I just love it. It has musk in it which really seems to attract attention without being too strong or overpowering. When I'm wearing Imari Seduction I feel like I'm wearing an expensive quality perfume. This is a warm fragrance with hints of vanilla and amber. Reese Witherspoon

Recently Avon announced that Reese Witherspoon has been appointed as the first Avon Global Ambassador. I think this is great news for Avon. I've enjoyed watching Reese in the movies since she was a child. This is a great combination.....Reese and Avon. Reese will be supporting Avon's products as well as the charities that Avon supports which are the fight against breast cancer and against Domestic Violence.

In my opinion Avon has taken a huge step in promoting its products and increasing sales for all Avon Representatives.

Avon Watches

I am really enjoying the fashion watches I've purchased from Avon. They are not only very attractive but they also keep excellent time. I've purchased four so far and all are quartz battery operated, fit well and make a noticeable fashion statement when I wear them.

My favorite is the pink St. Louis cardinals watch, since I'm from Missouri. Another that I have is a large red link watch....now it really gets attention! My most recent Avon watch purchase is a big face watch with large numbers and a white leather band. It's very comfortable and easy to read.

Many of my customers have admired the silver hinged cuff watch that I purchased a few months ago. I've sold some of them by wearing mine when I make deliveries. Customers always seem to like it. It's really easy to put on and take off....no straps or latches to fasten!

Anew Clinical Plump and Smooth Lip System

I have sold quite a few of these items to women who want their lips to look full and the skin around their lips to be without wrinkles. I have been using the product myself for about a month and I think it is helping my lips to feel smooth and full. I don't have wrinkles around my lips yet so can't attest to that for you. Curl Goddess Hair Products

I love the Avon Curl Goddess Hair Products! When I use the serum it makes my curly hair much more manageable and makes it shine really well. I also find that the styling gel helps to control my naturally wild and curly locks after I've washed them. It seems to make my hair curl rather than frizz, which is a great benefit during hot humid weather. They also make a Curl Goddess spray which I haven't yet tried but plan to try soon.
